Fashion Designer / Sustainable Designer / Fashion Thinker / Conceptual Dress Maker. My name is Paula and I am a womenswear designer based in Berlin. My current project is about upcycling damaged natural fabrics as well as leather waste from industrial cutting. Leather is one of the most valuable materials and in most cases not sustainable. In order to value this resource-intensive material and the animals that died for it, I want to turn that waste into new garments. I put a lot of emphasis on communication through labelling to increase the life cycle of the clothes I create. My outfits have strong storytelling and design features that make it easy to deal with them and motivate the customer to take good care of them.

„Upcycling is an important pillar in establishing a circular economy. In the Global South in particular, it contributes to the preservation of traditional handicrafts, to an increase in the quality of life and creates prospects for young people.“
