Tim Koszian

Germany (DE, EN, FR)

My name is Tim and I am a young designer from Berlin. After my studies, I worked for a Berlin fashion label and I am on my own. In my creation process, I allow myself to be inspired by social change and events, cultural influences and arts. I then incorporate them into my collections. I often work with opposite lines of inspiration and combine them to create something new. As an outcome, I work with different silhouettes and materials, as well as different craft techniques and play with these opposites. Upcycling offers an incredible number of possibilities to put old materials in a new light, to process a material that has never been used in fashion or to develop a new one. I love to start with what is available and to let myself drift through the development process to see what is possible, while letting all that arise. I am looking forward to new inspirations and ways to implement upcycling in fashion. Photo Credits: www.felixgrimm.com

„Upcycling is an important pillar in establishing a circular economy. In the Global South in particular, it contributes to the preservation of traditional handicrafts, to an increase in the quality of life and creates prospects for young people.“
